Mastering Your Scenes Studio helps fiction and nonfiction authors turn ideas, lived experience, subject knowledge and research into well-structured manuscripts.
Built on the Mastering Your Scenes methodology, MSS combines guided scene, chapter and project planning with specialized AI-assisted coaching, Story Bible and project-knowledge tools, continuity support, collaboration, automatic saving, version history, recovery protection and customizable accessibility features.
It supports novels, historical fiction, memoir, biography, narrative nonfiction, general nonfiction and multi-book projects—while keeping your voice, judgment and final decisions at the center of the process.

What we ask of founding testers
Use MSS for real writing and tell us what helps, what is confusing and what needs improvement. Brief check-ins are welcome after your first week, around day 14 and at the end of your first 30 days. Feedback about unclear or missing instructions is useful too.
Your account benefit does not depend on positive reviews, making referrals or purchasing extras.
Getting started
How joining
works.
Enrollment begins with an email to Julian. Each place is confirmed individually.
Receive your preview link and enrollment instructions.Your link opens Mastering Your Scenes Studio through Lovable, the platform used to build and deliver MSS. You do not need a Lovable account to open the preview.
Create or sign in to your own MSS account.Inside MSS, select Sign In, then Create account if you are a new user, or sign in to your existing MSS account. The screen offers email/password access and a Continue with Google option. Your MSS account is separate from a Lovable account.
You may see an “Edit with Lovable” badge; use the MSS account controls for tester enrollment.
Receive your activation confirmation.After creating or signing in to your MSS account, email Julian with the email address associated with that account. Julian will verify your enrollment, activate your complimentary Author access and confirm your access dates.
No subscription purchase or payment information is required.
Preview links expire after seven days. Contact Julian if your link stops working; he will provide a replacement as needed during testing. Your 30-day access period begins when Julian activates your access—not when you receive or open the preview link.
Your complimentary account benefit is personal and nontransferable. Sharing the invitation page or preview link does not grant another person complimentary access. Each prospective participant must contact Julian and receive confirmation. No shareable complimentary code is provided.
After your first 30 days
An invitation

Near the end of your initial access period, Julian will ask whether you wish to continue. Continuation reminders are planned around day 23 and again before access expires.
After you confirm acceptance, Julian will approve and extend your complimentary Author access for as long as MSS operates, provided your account remains in good standing under the Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
The extension requires your confirmation and Admin approval. It is not automatic.
Access may be suspended or terminated for policy violations in accordance with those policies. Optional extras remain paid purchases, and there is no automatic conversion to a paid subscription.
If you miss the confirmation deadline, contact Julian. Reinstatement can be reviewed if your place remains available.

What to expect during the beta
Features and workflows may change, and you may encounter bugs or unclear instructions.
Use the User Guide and Help Center for guidance, while keeping in mind that recently added features may not yet be reflected there.
Keep separate copies of important writing during the beta. If writing appears missing or a save seems unsuccessful, copy any text still visible into a separate document before refreshing.

How to share feedback
Use the Feedback Center inside MSS to report problems or suggest improvements.
For a problem report, choose the closest category if one is offered and provide a short, descriptive title, such as Scene formatting disappears after reopening. Include:
- The feature you were using and what you were trying to do.
- The steps immediately before the problem.
- What you expected and what happened instead.
- The exact error message, if one appeared.
- Whether the problem continued after refreshing or reopening the project—after first preserving any text at risk.
Include a screenshot if the form provides an attachment option. Avoid private information or manuscript passages you do not want shared.
For coaching feedback, tell us which responses helped you make a writing decision and which were confusing or unhelpful. Candid feedback is welcome.
Data handling and AI use
MSS provides automatic saving, version history and recovery features. Information submitted through the published application is stored in the project’s database and storage.
Lovable’s published documentation states that information submitted by users of published apps is not used to train Lovable’s models.
Lovable has also confirmed in writing that it does not use content processed through its AI Gateway for model training and that its provider agreements prohibit model providers from training on content passed through that gateway.
These assurances concern training use. They do not establish zero storage or zero retention. Lovable’s written response does not specify gateway retention periods or confirm provider safety-monitoring and human-access practices.

A future referral opportunity · Not active yet
The affiliate program is not active yet, and referrals are optional.
Once it launches, eligible members of this founding test group will be offered an exclusive, one-time 25% commission on eligible net collected revenue from a qualifying new customer’s first monthly or annual subscription payment.
The referred customer must remain enrolled for 30 consecutive days after the first successful payment. Cancellation or unenrollment before that period ends makes the referral ineligible.
Commissions do not recur and do not apply to renewals, later upgrades, credit purchases or extra storage. Discounts, taxes, processing fees, refunds and chargebacks affect eligible revenue.
Existing customers and established leads, self-referrals and unverified referrals do not qualify.
The final affiliate agreement will explain attribution, qualification, payment and required referral disclosures before participation begins.
